EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007

Olivia achieved a Personal Best of 70 kg which launched a new European Junior Record at this International competition in Kavala, Greece. However a young Polish lifter claimed that title with her 72.5 kg lift. Olivia’s attempt to lift 75 kg failed. In silver medal position and achieving a new Personal Best Olivia’s performance was considered very successful.

This took place at Sofia Gardens, Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff. Olivia won 1st prize for a successful 67.5 kg lift, and made two very creditable attempts to lift 73 kg to set a new European Junior Record. Although technically under par, this is now an aim for 2008.

The ceremony will take place on Monday the 24th of March 2008; at 12:00 noon Greek time…It will be broadcasted around the world. Erricos will be cutting an olive tree branch, the symbol of ancient Greece and the Olympic Games.

Here is the German website which from 3rd Jan 05 has included my website and a feature on me!! See www.rehacare.de .We asked them to donate to Whizz-kids. Its a massive International Trade Fair website on Special Needs and Equipment.

These pictures in the gallery have been inspired by my trying out many different sports and watching other people having fun and achieving amazing things in both wheelchair sport and other activities.

One of the sports I currently compete in is powerlifting.

This website was funded through a Whizz-kidz Millennium Award. The Whizz-kidz link will allow you to explore this fantastic charity which provides mobility equipment for disabled children through its fundraising activities. Whizz-kidz gave me a trike so that I can cycle with my family and friends, and I try to give something back through my work on the Whizz-kidz Teenage Board.

I hope you enjoy the other links which will lead you to other sports information for people with disabilities.
